Aishwarya Rai born 1 November 1973), also known as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an Indian film actress and model. Following a series of commercially unsuccessful films, Rai featured in the 2006 blockbuster adventure film Dhoom 2, the 2008 historical romance Jodhaa Akbar, and the 2010 science fiction film Enthiran. She garnered wide critical acclaim for her work in Bhansali's 2010 romantic drama Guzaarish.

Following a tumultuous relationship with actor Salman Khan, Rai married actor Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. Her off-screen roles include duties as a brand ambassador for several charity organisations and campaigns; she is a Goodwill Ambassador for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). She was awarded with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009, and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Government of France in 2012.

Film and modeling career
Anjana Sukhani put her academic pursuits behind to pursue acting. During the early years of her career, she was cast in a television advertisement for Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates with the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.[2] She was also noted for her performance in the remixed Hindi music video for the song Ghar Jayegi. Even though she does not have a film industry related background, she has figured in sizeable roles like in the 2007 multi-starrer blockbuster film Salaam-e-Ishq, following which she starred in Golmaal Returns, a sequel to the 2006 hit film Golmaal. Her other releases were Jai Veeru, Jashnn and her Kannada debut film Maleyali Jotheyali alongside Ganesh and Yuvika Chaudhary. She has been cast in Tollywood actor Ravi Teja's film Don Seenu marking her entry into tollywood.

Background
Koppikar was born in Mumbai, India. She has one younger brother. Eesha graduated in Life Sciences at Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai. The actress who worked out day and night to fit into a Shivan & Narresh bikini got on to a pineapple diet to keep her weight in check. “I love pineapples. I was advised to consume one fruit a day so I chose to eat pineapples. It helped me in getting into shape,” says Sonal.
Sonal even had to sacrifice several of her other favourite food items to avoid piling on extra kilos. She says, “I am a big foodie and I never support that staying hungry is good. But I had to do it as I wanted to look good on the screen.”
To get the perfect bikini clad body, the young actress avoided items like white rice, fried chicken, desserts and chocolates. She sipped on juice, did yoga and took to the gym for two hours every evening.
On the final day of the shoot, Sonal tried on 50 bikinis before taking a decision on what to finally wear. “Imagine having to try on 50 swimsuits. After a while, I lost count!” says Sonal.

Early life
Kothari was born in Majhdia(dist: nadia)Kolkata to a Marwari Jain family and grew up speaking Bengali, Rajasthani, English and Hindi. She moved to New Delhi while in grade 10 and got her degree in Chemistry from Delhi University at Dayal Singh College. Her father is a chemical businessman, her mother a home-maker.

Career
After college, Kothari became a model and appeared in a number of advertisement campaigns. In 2003, she got her big break through actor Madhavan, who recommended her for an audition in his film after viewing her photographs. She made her acting debut with him in the Tamil film Jay Jay, credited as Amoga. She made her Bollywood debut in the 2005 film Sarkar and then later that same year appeared in James, directed by Ram Gopal Varma and Rohit Jugraj respectively. She then went on to do The Killer with Emraan Hashmi. Since then she had appeared in less significant films and roles. Her most recent release was Bin Bulaye Baraati.

Kothari is a member of the International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy Of Film & Television.

In the 2011 West Bengal state assembly elections, she campaigned for Dr Nirmal Majhi, an All India Trinamool Congress candidate contesting from North Uluberia, Kolkata.

Her first release in 2007 was Lakshyam, after which she starred in Raghava Lawrence's Don opposite Nagarjuna again.
